Bus smelled like garlic, fish and onion. I couldn't breath the whole trip. The bus needed to be wiped for germs, there were only 5 people on the bus but smell carried over from previous passengers. The bus is comfortable, driver was great. Excellent service, I use this company many times, but my last trip was breath taking.

Although the value of service provided was excellent. I was a little unhappy with the very uncomfortable ride. I took a smaller mid-size bus caravan. It may have been the location where I was sitting (rear seats possibly above wheel well) but I was literally tossed around 1-2 inches from my seat due to the horrible suspension. I suggest sitting elsewhere or taking the comfort of a larger bus. Otherwise, I do recommend this company.

My mom takes has taken this bus several times and I once. Other than always a bit confusing as to pick up time, great service. Only advice (wear a light sweater or take a small blanket) bus is always very cold.

Only gripe was you couldnt eat on the bus from rest stop! I almost choked on My food trying to scarf my food down fast when the driver who was cool but spoke very little english told me I cant board with the food last minute; when it was time to pull off! Lol! Really!!?? Lastly & once again despite the Luxury bus coach this time around , the bus still lacked outlets to charge Our phones... C'mon people this is a 2016 necessity, especially when its partially advertised... Ok?!! Get with it people...

The driver was the worst ever, exceeding the speed limit while talking on the cell phone, cutting in and out of traffic. Then he demanded a tip, this driver should not be driving anyone anywhere, I will never use gotobus again, and will not refer this company to anyone.

Is it a fix tips $2 Ito driver from now on ? Why driver put a paper in the car and collected money in the rest area. I will only tip with his driving and service. If you need to increase your fare , i am ok with it But not a fixed tips to post in the car.( only a paper printed out, I doublt its from the driver not from the company, please check )

I didn't know you charge $5 for extra baggage. When my grandma came from LA riding the same bus they had 4 and wasn't charged extra at all. Then, at the stop over driver asked for another $2. I don't remember reading in your terms and Conditions regarding that.

I made a trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, the service was awful, we were supposed to arrive at 4pm to LA but we got there at 8 pm, the bus made 2 stops on the highway and the made another 4 before get to the LA Down Town. One of this stops was on a parking of a sams the driver made everyone to get down of the bus and we had to wait for another bus to pick us up.

The trip was very good but at the end the driver dropped off me and an old man very far from we asked in the purchase options and said a smaller shuttle would take us for free to downtown and the bus never show up. I'm a visitor so I don't think it's a good thing to do to people who aren't from the city

Driver: I did not have any issues with the driver but I noticed another passenger that did. The passenger had a question about the drop-off locations and the driver responded somewhat rudely. The answer was something the passenger could have looked up on New Sun's website beforehand, but the driver should have been more friendly in his response. This is definitely a cultural issue because it's the same type of "customer service" I experienced in China.
Bus comfort: I appreciate the seat belts because they are definitely needed. The shocks are so poor it often feels like you are riding during an earthquake.

Overall a good deal for traveling between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The ticket cost was lower than any other I found and the trip was quick. Although the minibus was clean and passenger noise was minimal (only six of us), the ride was very bumpy for a large portion of the trip. Note on pickup at Rosemead (Bokai Garden Hotel): There is no sign identifying pickup location. Just wait by the lion statues near the gate.

The first time I rode with New Sun I was very impressed, but yesterday's trip was not very good. The bus waited around in LA for nearly an hour before starting the trip, and the driver didn't tell us what was going on and wouldn't allow anyone off the bus to use the restroom. There needs to be better communication from the drivers and more timely service.

Quick and consistent on arriving to destination.
Driver (mainland China origin) is rude, difficult to understand, pressured speech and no sense of customer service. He continuously laugh when asking customers where their location of drop off. I gave up communicating to him after 5mins of initial interaction knowing that he won't listen and his English needs much improvement or at least have some knowledge on interacting customers. It really intrigues me how these mainland enter the country without basic English and equities 101. Furthermore he charge me $5 for extra luggage which isn't a deal breaker but should've notify customers prior to purchasing their ticket.
Furthermore no food or drink on bus, I understand accidents may happen but what happened the passenger was a diabetic?
Because my background is Chinese, I know how rude these mainland's are and I was already prepared on what was coming. Other future customer may not receive a well reception.
After purchasing my ticket online I called their head office for confirmation. Once again it's like speaking to a dead fish. Broken English and bad communication.

I would recommend this if you are on a super budget. There is no drinking or eating and a 5 min potty break on this 6 hr ride. The driver was super rude to another passenger. Oh and there weren't outlets for phone charging.

cheap price, you get what u paid. the bus is so small but the if fully booked. and some of the chinese passenger take 1 row (2 seats) for themself, the driver a little bit sleepy. the bus is ok though for that price. at one point we have to change bus and take our luggage to another bus. and also the bus stop is a little bit scary at night (600 n broadway) and a bit hard to find other transportation.
overall it's an okey ride if not ruined by the chinese passengers whose feel like they own the bus. fyi i also chinese so i'm not being racist. :)
but if you looking for a cheap transportation and clean bus this is the place.

There was one instance that the driver had to swerve, which seemed he was about to collide with another car! It was scary!

1. You should warn passengers that Sunday returns from Las Vegas could be approx. an hour behind schedule, due to traffic.
2. Can you schedule a bus from Union Station? Parking there is only $6/day and is a convenient location to collect passengers without the delays of your minivans collecting passengers from various areas of Los Angeles. Instead of picking up passengers at the Bokai Hotel, the Union Station pickup would be a lot more efficient, I feel.

Having a restroom on board would be necessary especially for older passengers. Luckily, I did not drink a lot of liquids so it was not a problem for me coming to Las Vegas. I will have to restrict liquids for my trip back. The one stop we made was essential, but others might need a 2nd stop. Otherwise, the bus was very comfortable.

Very basic. Bus arrived earlier than scheduled which is a plus. Bus driver and staff though does not give clear instructions on what's happening or what will happen, like during the transfer to another bus, it was not clear if all the passengers have to switch bus or just on a specific stop. Arrived at the destination earlier than usual though which is cool.

The bus driver was the best we had. He's wonderful, on time, friendly. The bus was new but I didn't like the new smell gave me headache and nauseous feeling whole ride. It was weird to have someone at last stop check passenger tickets. Usually the bus driver does that. Two people sitting side by side very cramped spacing. Okay for one person. Besides that I enjoyed the ride especially when only a few ppl in bus.

Worst journey experience I have ever had in my life. Driver spoke little English, and would only tell the one male on the coach about when he was stopping. Driving was awful - I genuinely feared for my life on this trip! Left us off in rear parking lot of hotel with no instructions on where to go from here and no idea of where we were. Would definitely not recommend and will not be using this service again ever.

Bus was late, both directions. Pick up location in Los Angeles was unclear. TRIED to find contact information, but couldn't find one anywhere. The bus drove part way and then kicked us out in a parking lot where we waited for about 30 minutes for another bus. The service DID get me to Las Vegas, but it seemed to be more an amateur production. The trip back, started with them waiting for 20 minutes for someone who was running late. 90 minutes out so later,the driver let folks out in Primm, NV. He gave no time we would be leaving. We sat for at least 30 minutes while folks shopped for souvenirs. The price point was right, but I felt like you got what you paid for.

It's inexpensive. The ride is rough. The suspension on the bus is very stiff. You feel every bump on the road. The driver never made a bathroom stop along the way. He started weaving in lanes toward the end of the ride. He was probably tired.

I wasn't able to catch the bus on account of I had a plumbing emergency that required my immediate attention. I assumed that I could reschedule my ticket because I was able to do so within two hours of my previous bus rides. But upon reading your restrictions on rescheduling 24 hrs in advance, I lost my ticket and my money I had spent.

Gotobus listed the wrong pickup date as 845a. When I arrived, no bus was there for Las Vegas. Called multiple numbers and was finally told New Sun reported new bus schedules to gotobus.com, but it didnt update the system. The bus actually arrived 8am, and I spent wasted money cabbing to different pickup points because of this mixup.

I bought round-trip tickets to and from Vegas. It was my first time taking this bus, and it was already an hour and a half late picking up my mother and me from Rowland Heights. There was no apology, explanation, or warm greeting upon arrival.
Furthermore, on the bus ride back to Rowland Heights, the bus was on time, but was parked in front of Tropicana for over half an hour to actually leave Las Vegas.
Another huge issue, besides punctuality, was the language barrier! 95% of passengers were supposed to be dropped off in Los Angeles, but the driver did not announce them to transfer busses if their stop was Los Angeles. Therefore, I had to step up and declare it myself for everyone to get off and transfer. If I had not said anything, 95% of passengers would have ended up in Rowland Heights, very confused and irritated.

We arrived the departure place about 15 minutes before the bus were going to depart. We waited for about 1 hour wondering if the bus was running late. We asked inside the hotel about the bus, but they had already moved it away cause it was so long time since it should have been there. This was the bus leaving til LA from Las Vegas, Harrahs Shuttle bus Parking lot. So i want all of my money back, since we had to pay for another bus a few hours later and we lost our hotel in LA for that night. You can contact me on my mail.

I was going from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. There are a few stops this bus can go through like Chinatown and then Monterey Park, and I chose Monterey Park as the pick up point for me at 8:20am. However, that day the driver thought he would pick me up at Chinatown at 8am, even though I chose for them to pick me up at Monterey Park. The driver called me, who could barely speak English, and had to have a person from the company that spoke good English to call me. This resulted in the bus to be 30-40 minutes late to get me. Next thing that happened was I had to switch bus in some parking lot within 10-15 minutes of the first bus ride. I have no idea why they had the passengers change bus and driver, but I guess this is what happens all the time (happened to my relative as well on a different day). This bus ride will always have one stop for a meal/gas break. When I rode this, there were only two other people. It seems impossible to communicate with the driver/staff if you don't know how to speak Mandarin.
For the trip coming back, this company had the nerve to change the time of my bus schedule of the time and place of pick up and drop off. Originally, I was going to be picked up at Harrahs at around 3:30pm, but they changed in an email to pick up at Bally's 2:40pm. My original drop off point was at Monetary Park, but they changed that to Rosemead. I had to call them and demand they pick me up at Harrahs because I won't know where their pick up point is at other locations
Getting the point across, it seems like this bus company/drivers does whatever they want to have their own comfortable schedules, ignoring customer needs/wants of pick up/drop off points. They even ask you on the bus where you would like to be dropped off given the following options of whatever they said. This tells me drivers don't go to every location for drop off since there's so few people riding the bus That doesn't mean they can change it anytime they want! The driver, for coming back to LA, even asked me for a tip. THE NERVE!!! I have never heard of a bus driver that asked for a tip.

Overall the experience is great if you don't want to spend the money on a plane ticket. The first bus I took was on time, but he kept slamming the breaks a lot which made the bus jerk back and forth pretty much the entire trip, and made it hard to nap. He then took us took us to a different stop, and said he can't go to the bus stop printed on the ticket because he was "running out of time". It was less then 10 minutes away. He took us to the correct stop about 5 minutes of asking why it was not possible. The trip back was very smooth and easy. Overall I would definitely recommend to others.

The bus is some hybrid between a party bus and a charter bus. However, it was surprisingly a little more comfortable than some of the full-sized charter buses. The AC is ice-cold in the beginning, but the desert heat quickly takes over the bus and although I prefer a warmer temperature other riders were slightly uncomfortable. The only real issue for me was the time elapsation: being a smaller bus we were probably the slowest vehicle on the highway and being passed the whole way. This equated to an additional 30-45 min travel time. I would still recommend this bus as it was extremely budget friendly and medium comfortable.

The driver that picked us up in Chinatown would not stop texting and using his phone even as he drove on the freeway. I was afraid that he will get into an accident with all of us on board. Other than that, the service is ok.

It was a pleasant ride. We were late to arrive in Monterey Park by 2 hours but it was the 4th of July. Some passengers were upset and wanted more bathroom breaks while others wanted to get to there destination as soon as possible. Felt bad for the driver. Also they have a nice flat screen TV installed they should put it to use. I think this would have help the customers relax with the delays due to unforeseen traffic.

20 minutes after leaving the San Jose stop (last stop in Northern CA) the driver finds out we left someone behind so we went back to pick them up -- adding an extra 40 minutes to our trip.
Also the air condition was on way too high. The entire bus of 6 people were layering on jackets as the trip progressed. I asked the driver to turn it down a bit -- it helped a little bit, but it was still really cold.

The ride was too bumpy. Had shoulder and back ache. The AC was not running efficiently. The driver should stop for lunch at a place where there are a lot of choices for eating like kettle men.

I bought two tickets for 2 different stops for my brother and I. One for Rosemead and one for Rowland Heights. It said arrival time for Rosemead was 1:50PM and we arrived at approximately 3:30PM. It said the arrival time for Rowland Heights was 2:20PM, and I didn't get dropped off until 4:20PM. I also had to switch buses twice which was very strange since the last bus that dropped me off at the Rowland Heights location was empty besides myself. Punctuality really needs work along with accounting for traffic and accidents.

The bus was an hour late. There are no bathrooms on the bus. The seats are comfortable. He makes one stop along the way for a bathroom break which is necessary for the 5+ hour trip.

This was my first using New Sun international. I thought the bus that we first got on would be the main bus going to Las Vegas. Instead it was a shuttle to pick everyone up then meet and take another bus. I felt very uncomfortable because I was not informed about the situation. When I first got on the bus the guy didn't check my information and didn't speak that much English. When we transfer buses we weren't aware of the situation. The driver was always on his phone and kept swaying back and forth. The bus made so much noise and actually shook a lot that I was not able to sleep.

Great Experience. The driver was great. Just keep in mind it is strongly recommended to tip $3 minimum. I only had $2 wish I had known earlier to take cash
