In the afternoon, with a brief visit in Plymouth where Mayflower carrying the first group of pilgrims arrived in 1620, reach Newport, Rhode Island. Known as a new England summer resort, the city is very famous for its mansions built by the richest families in this country. Breakers, the summer "cottage" of Vanderbilt family, is among the largest. |
Day 5 : Boston - New Haven - NYC |
Anything in common between Presidents Bush and Clinton? Yale University at New Haven must be one of the few items on the list. What a beautiful college town! Day 6 : NYC - West Point - Woodbury Outlet - NYC |
"Much of the history we teach was made by people we taught." The oldest military academy in the United States. West Point trains more U.S. Army officers than any other single institution. A high proportion of distinguished American generals have been West Point graduates, including two American Presidents (Grant and Eisenhower) and many famous generals (Robert E. Lee, John J. Pershing, Omar Bradley and Douglas MacArthur). East of this great academy is one of the world's top shopping destinations. Woodbury Common is a shopaholic's dream -- designer clothing at bargain prices! The mall now has 220 stores occupying more than 800,000 square feet and is one of the largest contiguous outlet centers in the world. You'll find tremendous great deals here and not just on clothing, there are stores for home furnishing, jewelry, luggage, leather, gifts and specialty items as well. During our 3-hour stay, certainly you can find impressive savings at Burberry, Coach, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Gap Outlet, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, J.Crew, Lacoste, Neiman Marcus Last Call, Polo Ralph Lauren, Prada, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th and more. |

The tour proceeds to Chinatown, the largest Asian community in the United States. We will take in a Waterway cruise of the New York City harbor, where you can view the city's magnificent skyline and sights, including the busy South Street Seaport, the Statute of Liberty, and the Brooklyn Bridge from the Hudson and East River. An entertaining and informative tour guide will provide interesting facts about all of the sights that make this city special. We will visit Rockefeller Center, NBC Studios, and the surrounding shopping district along Fifth Avenue, where cutting edge fashion and luxury brands reside. No tour of New York City would be complete without a tour atop the Empire State Building, where on the 86th floor, 1,050 feet above the city's bustling streets, the Observatory offers panoramic views from within a glass enclosed pavilion. We will also see the newly transformed USS Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum.
