This one day tour from San Francisco highlights the picturesque Yosemite National Park on a comfortable, relaxed schedule. We’ll stop along the way in the agricultural region known as “the food basket of the world,” the San Joaquin Valley, where we’ll fill our morning with the sights and scents of fresh Californian produce. Next, we’ll head deep into the Yosemite woodlands, beneath the shadows of the Great Sequoias, to explore an entirely different landscape of stone, mountains, trees, and water. Once we’ve arrived in the national park, we will embark on a narrated tour of Yosemite Valley with a stop at Inspiration Point. A midday break at Yosemite Lodge gives you two hours to relax, or take an additional tour (seasonal), or stroll out to the meadows or Yosemite Falls. During the winter, Yosemite’s beauty takes on a frosty edge, but the scenery is just as beautiful, if not more so. We’ll stop at chromatic waterfalls, near-frozen in the winter, bursting with life during the spring. The trails in any season may prove slippery, so be sure to wear appropriate footwear (shoes with good traction) on this invigorating adventure.

Trip Itinerary (for reference only)

6:20 - 7:00 AM	Pick-up at hotel or hostel located in either downtown San Francisco or Fisherman's Wharf.
7:00 - 9:00 AM	Depart San Francisco and cross the San Joaquin Valley.
9:00 AM	Stop for breakfast (not included).
9:30 - 11:30 AM	Start climbing the foothills of the Sierras and enter Yosemite National Park.
11:30 - 12:30 PM	Yosemite Introduction Narrated Tour.
12:30 - 3:00 PM	Explore Yosemite National Park on your own. Take a free shuttle to one of Yosemites famous sights. You can see most of the Yosemite Valley including El Capitan, Yosemite Falls and Half Dome.
3:00 - 3:45 PM	Meet the bus and head back to San Francisco.
6:00 PM	Stop for dinner (not included).
9:30 - 10:00 PM	Drop off at hotel located in either downtown San Francisco or Fisherman's Wharf.
