Day 1 : Home - New York City (Full Day) |
We start off our tour in New York City by heading to Ground Zero, site of the tragic events of September 11th, to pay our respects and to witness the massive rebuilding efforts. From there we head to Wall Street at the heart of the financial district, home to America's wealth and business interests. The tour proceeds to Chinatown, the largest Asian community in the United States. We will take in a Waterway cruise of the New York City harbor, where you can view the city's magnificent skyline and sights, including the busy South Street Seaport, the Statute of Liberty, and the Brooklyn Bridge from the Hudson and East River. An entertaining and informative tour guide will provide interesting facts about all of the sights that make this city special. We will visit Rockefeller Center, NBC Studios, and the surrounding shopping district along Fifth Avenue, where cutting edge fashion and luxury brands reside. No tour of New York City would be complete without a tour atop the Empire State Building, where on the 86th floor, 1,050 feet above the city's bustling streets, the Observatory offers panoramic views from within a glass enclosed pavilion. We will also see the newly transformed USS Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum. The tour continues to the bright lights of Time Square and the Broadway Theatre District, where there is an opportunity to see celebrities up close and personal at Madame Tussaud's. We will visit the United Nations, a gathering place for 192 countries to meet and discuss important issues of the world such as peace and human rights. We will also spend time in the Metropolitan Museum of Arts, which contains more than two million works of art. |

Anything in common between Presidents Bush and Clinton? Yale University at New Haven must be one of the few items on the list. What a beautiful college town! Back to NYC in the afternoon, focus on the diverse downtown area: Little Italy, SOHO, and Chinatown. Walk through City Hall Park, and experience Brooklyn Bridge by foot. **If you are taking the 7-day tour, you will be escorted to Boston Logan Airport in the morning for flight departing after 1:30 PM or one of the NYC airports in the afternoon for flight departing after 7 P.M. |
Day 7 : NYC - West Point - Woodbury Outlet - Hometown |
"Much of the history we teach was made by people we taught." The oldest military academy in the United States. West Point trains more U.S. Army officers than any other single institution. A high proportion of distinguished American generals have been West Point graduates, including two American Presidents (Grant and Eisenhower) and many famous generals (Robert E. Lee, John J. Pershing, Omar Bradley and Douglas MacArthur). East of this great academy is one of the world's top shopping destinations. Woodbury Common is a shopaholic's dream -- designer clothing at bargain prices! The mall now has 220 stores occupying more than 800,000 square feet and is one of the largest contiguous outlet centers in the world. You'll find tremendous great deals here and not just on clothing, there are stores for home furnishing, jewelry, luggage, leather, gifts and specialty items as well. During our 3-hour stay, certainly you can find impressive savings at Burberry, Coach, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Gap Outlet, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, J.Crew, Lacoste, Neiman Marcus Last Call, Polo Ralph Lauren, Prada, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th and more.
