Day 1 : New York - Annapolis - Washington D.C.: |
Depart from NYC in the morning for Annapolis, Maryland to walk along the same old brick sidewalks as George Washington or Thomas Jefferson did back when Annapolis was considered the original capital of the United States. We will visit the Maryland State House, the oldest state house still in legislative use. The tour continues to the Armel-Leftwich Visitor Center at the United States Naval Academy (with ID), where America's Naval forces train in readiness for defense. We will also visit downtown Annapolis, a bustling place full of small shops and restaurants for tasty seafood. We then proceed to sightsee in our nation's capital in Washington D.C., beginning with the Capitol Hill and the White House, America's seat of governing power. We will also see the Lincoln, Roosevelt, and Jefferson Memorials, where we can honor these notable past presidents and consider the impact they have had on our history. All of these memorials are lined with stunning decorations and the stirring words of these great American heroes. Also from the boat, you will pass the president yacht deck where the glorious president yacht catch your eyes, and then followed by the Pentagon, Arlington National Cemetery, John F. Kennedy Arts Center and Washington Monument. We will then pay tribute to our modern heroes in the armed forces by touring the Vietnam and Korean War Veterans Memorial. The tour returns to the hotel in the evening, where guests can enjoy the included swimming pool and fitness center. |
Day 2 : Washington D.C. - Baltimore - New York |
We continue our visit in Washington D.C. with more sightseeing. Time permitting we can take in the National Air and Space Museum, featuring the original 1903 Flyer plane designed by the Wright brothers, the Spirit of St. Louis flown by Lindbergh, and actual spacecraft such as the Apollo 11 command module. We then continue to Baltimore to visit its famous Inner Harbor, featuring delicious food such as the native Blue Crab and even head to the International Food Court to sample mouth watering treats from around the world. We will have an opportunity to walk along America's oldest seaport, including incredible views such as Fort McHenry that would inspire Francis Scott Key to pen our nation's anthem. The tour then returns to New York.
