    DAY1 Boston - Quebec (Quebec Province) (395)

Our tour leaves Boston at 7:00 am en route to our destination for the day, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Along the way, we’ll pass by beautiful Lake Champlain as we drive through New Hampshire, Vermont, and upstate New York, arriving in Montreal in the early afternoon. We’ll visit the Olympic Stadium, built to host the 1976 Summer Olympics, where we’ll ride to the top of the Olympic Tower*, 175 meters above the ground. Set at 45-degree angle, it is the tallest inclined tower in the world. The Montreal Biodome* is right next door, containing four different habitats and preserving countless species of wildlife within. We’ll then head to Mount-Royal, a mountain just north of downtown, home to a beautiful urban park, followed by a visit to the old district of Montreal, where we will see the beautiful renaissance-styled Roman Catholic basilica called St. Joseph’s Oratory. After browsing through Old Montreal, we transfer to hotel at Montreal City..

Standard Hotel: Sandman Hotel (999, De Serigny, Montreal, QC, J4K 2T1, Canada) or similar

DAY2 Quebec city - (St. Louis Gate - Chateau Frontenac - Louis XIV Square)

This day we spend in Quebec City, the oldest of all the cities in Canada, founded in 1608 by explorer Samuel de Champlain. We’ll wake up early enough to catch the changing of the guard at la Citadelle at 10:00 am and watch the traditional procession accompanied by Royal 22e Régiment Band and the regimental mascot, Batisse the goat. There will be ample time to survey the interior of la Citadelle*, originally built as a military installation to fortify the city and protect its residents. Next, we’ll visit the majestic Montmorency Falls*, taking a cable car up to a higher vantage point in the city to gaze down upon the 84 meter drop. You’ll dine on French cuisine for lunch around Louis XIV Square, stroll along the boardwalk that overlooks the old port of Quebec and the St. Lawrence River, and browse the boutiques of Petite de Champlain. We’ll complete our French Canadian experience with another night in Montreal City.
