This morning we will meet in the hotel lobby at 7:00 am and set off on our road trip to Yellowstone National Park. On our way through northern Utah and Wyoming, we will enjoy the rural landscape, driving past miles and miles of farmland with mountains peaks looming in the distance. By noon we will reach the town of Jackson, WY, known for its arches of elk antlers, town center with many interesting stores, shops, and restaurants, and classic western feel. After our visit, we will drive along the Snake River until we reach Grand Teton National Park to view this spectacular snow-topped mountain range. From there we will travel on, arriving at Yellowstone National Park, where we will spend the night.

Depart towards Old Tom's Trail where you are rewarded with an observation deck view of the nearly 400 foot tall Lower Falls of Yellowstone. After the trail, we head over to look out point for a magnificent overview of the "Grand Canyon of Yellowstone." Next stop is a visit to the Sulfur Pools of Yellowstone to examine the intricate patterns etched into the various colored pools and rocks. After a long day at Yellowstone, we head off for Salt Lake City for the night.

This morning, we will return to explore the exceptional Salt Lake City, an island of modernity and industrialization built in the middle of an arid desert and on the edge of the Great Salt Lake, “America’s Dead Sea.” Then, after touring the Salt Lake Temple, the largest church ever built by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we will depart Salt Lake City and travel to see the Bingham Canyon Copper Mine, the deepest open-pit mine in the world, in excavation since 1906. From there we will travel into Nevada on our way to Las Vegas, America’s entertainment capital. Later, join us on a night tour* where we will explore the city’s thriving night life and watch a Las Vegas show such as Fremont Street’s Viva Vision, the Fountains of Bellagio, or Mardi Gras at Rio.*

We begin the day by traveling to see the Hoover Dam, the largest dam in the United States, built in 1935 in an experimental construction effort which is now considered monumental for the nation’s industrial progress. From there we will travel on, arriving around 9:30 AM at the West Rim** of the Grand Canyon. As you stand on its famous glass-bottomed Skywalk,* which extends over 4,770 feet of empty space above the Colorado River, you will feel yourself humbled by the scale of nature’s great power. Designed to hold over 70 million pounds, the Skywalk is perfectly safe and gives a breathtaking 360 degree view of the canyon. You will also have the opportunity to take a combined Colorado River Cruise and helicopter tour* of the Grand Canyon, which will give a spectacular view of the canyon from below and above. After, we will leave the Grand Canyon and return to Las Vegas, arriving between 5:00-5:30 PM.

Today before we leave Las Vegas, we will travel to the Ethel M Chocolate Factory and its Botanical Cactus Gardens in Nevada, which are open to the public. In the factory we will learn how this company produces their chocolate, sample their gourmet chocolate treats, and visit their branch of M&M’s World. Later we will wind through the gardens, which display many fascinating varieties of cacti from both local and international sources. Afterwards we will leave for Los Angeles at 9:00 AM, stopping along the way at a factory outlet mall, where we will benefit from great selection and discounts on popular brand names. After our shopping spree, we will continue on our way to Los Angeles, dropping off at LAX Airport at 6:00 PM in the evening.

Please arrange your return flight departing from Los Angeles after 9:30pm (for domestic flight) or 10:30pm (for international flight).(If flying home directly from Las Vegas on the last day, you will be responsible for your own transportation to the airport. Make sure that your flight is departing Las Vegas after 2:00pm.)
