Day 1 : |
Today we will depart Orlando at 8:45 am on our way to the Kennedy Space Center, the launch site of every US space flight since 1968, where we will learn all there is to know about space travel. During the narrated NASA bus tour, you will find yourself standing inside the launch control room looking at an actual Saturn V rocket, the largest rocket ever to fly. You can also take pictures of the shuttle launch pads and perhaps even see a space shuttle there! After the bus tour, you can sit back and enjoy an IMAX movie, explore the inside of a space shuttle, look at some moon rock, dress up like an astronaut, and even have “space” ice cream.
The tour also includes a 40 minute air boat ride to discover the beauty of the marshes and swamps on Merritt Island. During the boat ride, we’ll see many exotic plants, flowers and wildlife, including the main inhabitant of the swamp - the alligator! Perfectly safe aboard our boat, it will be a day of fun for the whole family. After the cruise, we will depart for Orlando, arriving around 7:00 pm.
Estimated Itinerary:
Due to the launch time of rocket, we will leave Orlando at about 4 am (depends on your hotel address). |
