As we drive through America’s entertainment capital, we will admire the luxurious hotels, casinos, and resorts on Las Vegas Boulevard. Those joining the tour in Las Vegas should book a flight arriving in Las Vegas before 2:00pm and meet the tour guide in the parking lot of Tropicana Hotel (3801 Las Vegas Boulevard, South Las Vegas, Nevada 89109) at 3:00pm. From here we will travel into Utah, spending the night in the town of St. George.

Day 2 : Lake Powell - Bryce Canyon - Salt Lake City

This morning, we will travel to see the Glen Canyon Dam, which was constructed over the Colorado River, creating Lake Powell, the second largest artificial lake in the country. Join us on a cruise of Lake Powell,* which will take us through the winding gorges of Glen Canyon. From there we will drive along the Red Canyon to Bryce Canyon National Park, arriving at this breathtaking natural wonder made up of red, orange, and white geological structures, called “hoodoos.” Actually not a canyon but a natural amphitheater, Bryce Canyon was formed over millions of years by wind, water, and ice erosion and will strike us with awe of its intricate geological formations and incredible history. Then, we will head to Salt Lake City, where we will spend the night.

Day 3 : Jackson Hole - Grand Teton - Yellowstone

This morning, we will set off on our road trip to Yellowstone National Park. On our way through northern Utah and Wyoming, we will enjoy the rural landscape, driving past miles and miles of vast prairie grazed by herds of cows and sheep, bound by the snow-capped Rockies. By noon we will reach the town of Jackson, WY, known for its arches of elk antlers, town center with many interesting stores, shops, and restaurants, and classic western feel. As we roam through the downtown area, we may even see a traditional western cowboy street show. After our visit, we will drive along the Snake River until we reach Grand Teton National Park to view this spectacular snow-topped mountain range. From there we will travel on, arriving at Yellowstone National Park, where we will spend the night.

Day 4 : Yellowstone National Park - Salt Lake City

Today we will spend a full day exploring the many canyons, waterfalls, hot springs, geysers, and volcanoes in one of the most famous and diverse national parks in the United States. One of Yellowstone’s most well known features, the Old Faithful Geyser, shoots boiling water as high as 185 feet in the air at an hourly interval. Make sure to visit the park’s famous hot springs! Each a fascinating blend of colors, the springs are fed by the geothermal activity of Yellowstone’s “Supervolcano,” Yellowstone Caldera. While we’re there, we may even see a herd of elk, a rare buffalo, and other interesting wildlife protected in the park. Stay overnight in Salt Lake City.

Day 5 : Salt Lake City

On the last day of our tour, we will explore the extraordinary Salt Lake City, an island of modernity and industrialization built in the middle of an arid desert and on the edge of the Great Salt Lake, “America’s Dead Sea.” After visiting the Utah State Capitol, we will tour the Salt Lake Temple, the largest church built by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
