3-Day Las Vegas, Grand Canyon West Rim Skywalk Tour from Los Angeles

Today we will begin our tour by departing for Las Vegas, passing through the breathtaking San Bernardino Mountains and entering the immense Mojave Desert on our way into Nevada. It’s a long trip, but the rising hills and mountains, the miles and miles of brush vegetation, stunted Joshua trees, barren desert landscape, and interesting wildlife we’ll see along the way will make it a fun adventure in America’s Wild West. We will take a brief stop at Barstow for lunch, where we will enjoy a few hours of shopping at the Tanger Outlets, benefiting from their great selection and discounts on popular brand names. From here we will travel on to Las Vegas, where we will spend the night. Once we arrive at 4:30 pm, you will be free to explore America’s entertainment capital at your leisure! Don’t pass up the opportunity to enjoy the city’s thriving night life or even try your luck at a casino!

We begin the day by traveling to the West Rim** of the Grand Canyon, arriving at 11:00 AM at one of the world’s seven natural wonders, where our breath will be stolen by the sheer immensity of this creation of two billion years of geologic history. As you stand on its famous glass-bottomed Skywalk,* which extends over 4,770 feet of empty space above the Colorado River, you will feel yourself humbled by the scale of nature’s great power. Carefully designed for the safety of all visitors, the Skywalk allows a fantastic and unmatched view of the Canyon that you cannot miss! You will also have the opportunity to take a combined Colorado River Cruise and helicopter tour* of the Grand Canyon, which will give a spectacular view of the canyon from below and above. After, we will depart from the Grand Canyon and stop at the Hoover Dam, the largest dam in the United States, built in 1935 in an experimental and unprecedented effort that was monumental at the time and remains so to this day. After this, the group will return to Las Vegas, arriving around 6:30 PM. Tonight, if you can break yourself away from the shopping, fine food, and casinos which Las Vegas is known for, join us on a night tour* where we will explore the city’s night life and watch a best-selling Las Vegas show!* A visit to Las Vegas would not be complete without this attraction.

Today before concluding our tour, we will travel to the Ethel M Chocolate Factory and its Botanical Cactus Gardens in Nevada, which are open to the public. In the factory we will learn how this company produces their chocolate and visit their branch of M&M’s World, while the gardens display many fascinating varieties of cacti from both local and international sources. Afterwards we will return to Las Vegas and then head back to Los Angeles at 9:30 AM, stopping along the way at the Tanger Outlets again for some last-minute discounted shopping. We will arrive in Los Angeles around 6:40 PM.
