A "must" for any diver visiting Iceland. If you're a certified diver, with or without dry suit experience, this tour is for you! It will give you the opportunity to dive in one of the world's top ten diving sites, Silfra. Found in the National Park, Žingvellir, Silfra is actually a crack in the face of the earth between the Eurasian and American tectonic plates.
You'll wear a dry suit since Silfra has a constant year round temperature of 1-3°C (33.8-37.4°F). You can swim out of the crack effortlessly thanks to the push of a gentile current. Silfra offers open water diving, caving and deep diving, with a depth is about 40 meters (131 feet) open water and 60 meters (197 feet) inside a cave.
Weather plays little part in diving in Silfra, although it's even more beautiful on sunny days. You'll be accompanied by a PADI Dive master or PADI Instructor. It's easy to dive in this area because we're able to choose from a variety of different routes depending on your experience as a diver.
We recommend wearing warm clothing underneath the diving suit and bring extra clothing.
NOTE: Includes all necessary equipment (First class equipment for diving is available in all standard sizes). |
