Available throughout the year, this tour takes you to unique sights of Iceland's most spectacular lava tube caves and craters.

We'll enter through narrow cave entrances and find they reveal extraordinary scenery filled with wonderful colors and lava formations. These beautiful, natural phenomena were created when the surface of lava flow hardened and the fluid lava continued to flow in tubes underneath.

You'll also see natural stalactites and rock formations in this truly an indescribable experience. The caves become wide and high and in many places, the floor is quite even. However, the trip can be quite difficult so bring good walking shoes/hiking boots suitable for uneven lava surfaces.

Respect for nature and safety are our main concerns. There are NO handrails, lights or any pre-installed tools in or around the caves. We rely entirely on the equipment we carry and expect all visitors to respect our guidelines. This tour is suitable for all who can walk on uneven surfaces and who are capable, at times, of crawling on all fours.
