As one of Ten State Parks You Can't Miss, the colorful history of the Old West comes to life in Eldorado Canyon, home to the famed Historical Techatticup Mine. It's the oldest, richest and most famous gold mine in Southern Nevada. Located just 45 minutes outside of glamorous Las Vegas.

On the short journey to this rustic site, you'll enjoy spectacular scenery: fields of teddy bear cholla, rare geologic formations, and an excellent photo opportunity down near the banks of Lake Mojave, the blue jewel of this isolated desert terrain.

On your professionally guided tour of the mine you'll envision the back-breaking work done by prospectors over a century ago as they chased gold veins deep into this rugged mountainside, and hear tales of yesteryear's gunfights and lawlessness that were the rule in this frontier territory.

• Personally guided and narrated tour (Level 3: Fully-guided tour).
• Complimentary hotel pick-up and drop-off

• Gratuities not included. (15% recommended)

Departure Time and Location:

• Complimentary pick-up service available from all Strip and Downtown Las Vegas hotels at around 8:00am (morning tour) or 1:00pm (afternoon tour) depending on your hotel location. Please advise pick-up hotel at time of booking and call upon arrival in Las Vegas to reconfirm pick-up time.

Additional Information:

• Clothing - The temperatures in the canyon are very different, the lower you go into the canyon, the hotter it gets. Shorts, a light shirt and a windbreaker are recommended for the warmer months.
• Footwear - Shoes should be comfortable, broken in, and laced up tight to keep your feet secure.
• Hat - Keep your head covered up from the sun.
• Sunglasses - Shields for your eyes is important for UV protection.
• Sunscreen / Chapstick - SPF 15 or better. The Arizona sun is very strong.

Pricing Policy:

• Children ages 18 months-12 years of age are eligible for Child Rate.
• Infants aged under 18 months are free of charge.

• Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation.

• We are not responsible for any cancellations or modifications of tours due to weather condition, road hazards, vehicle breakdowns, or other unsafe conditions that may hinder the ability for the tour to take place as scheduled.
• We reserves the right to determine its own vehicle selection to ensure safety and availability for its guest. Jeeps are not assigned to tours to the Grand Canyon West due to the number of highway miles involved.
• We reserve the right to cancel or modify any trip due to weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we cannot be responsible for paying any expenses you may have incurred other than to refund monies due to you for tour price.
