Departs from Los Angeles. Highlights of the West including Santa Barbara,

- Day 1 Los Angeles - Santa Barbara - Santa Maria
This morning, we will take a sightseeing tour of Los Angeles. We'll stop at
Grauman's Chinese Theater and the Hollywood Walk of Fame and then to Rodeo
Drive in Beverly Hills. We'll continue north to the charming Spanish-style
coastal city of Santa Barbara for a short stop. Continue to Solvang , the
Danish capital of America " Velkommen" . Everything in the Danish
atmosphere, windmills, quiet streets, horse drawn carriages, Danish bakeries
and authentic Danish costumes worn by some shop keepers. Overnight in Santa
Maria.

Drive - Monterey
- San Francisco
Travel north to Carmel-by-the-Sea, a town known for its former Mayor,
Clint Eastwood. Drive along the California Coast on the 17 Mile Drive. This
is of the most scenic drives in the United States. You will see striking
vistas of the Pacific Ocean, beautiful beaches, golf courses, and numerous
mansions. After a stop in Monterey, continue north and we'll end our day on
our arrival to San Francisco, "The City by the Bay".Hotel:

- Day 3 San Francisco
San Francisco is a unique and breathtaking metropolis. On our morning
sightseeing tour of this beautiful city we'll pass Union Square, Chinatown,
the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf. This afternoon is at leisure
to discover the variety of sites, shops, and restaurants that reflect the
City's great ethnic and cultural diversity. Overnight San Francisco.

- Day 4 San Francisco - Yosemite - Fresno
We travel to Yosemite National Park in the Sierra Nevada, with spectacular
panoramas and mountain vistas. Highlights of the park include Yosemite
Valley, its high cliffs and waterfalls and the Mariposa Grove, which
contains hundreds of ancient giant sequoias, the world's largest living
things. The area was home to American Indians for as long as 8,000 years.

- Day 5 Fresno - Calico Ghost Town - Las Vegas
Today travel south through the great farmlands of the fertile San
Joaquin Valley. It is the state's top agricultural producing region,
sometimes called "the nation's salad bowl" for the great array of fruits and
vegetables grown in its fertile soil. Calico Ghost Town will carry us back
in time to an authentic silver mining town of the Old West. Carefully
reconstructed to recreate the spirit of Calico's Old West past. Walk the
streets and examine the lives of the period miners and townspeople. We leave
California and travel to Las Vegas, Nevada " the entertainment capital of
the world," where we will say good-bye to our traveling companions ending in

- Day 6 Las Vegas - Grand Canyon
Leave the glitter of Las Vegas behind and we head to Arizona, " the
Grand Canyon State ". It is the World's Seventh Natural Wonder. Carved over
millennia through the rocks of the Colorado Plateau, It is more than an
awe-inspiring view. As you gaze out from the rim, you're viewing 2 billion
years of geologic history. Millions of people each year stand in awe at the
canyon and leave with a sense of fulfillment and realization that they have
witnessed nature at her finest. By arrival to the Grand Canyon Village, we
will have free time to enjoy the views. Overnight Grand Canyon National Park

- Day 7 Grand Canyon - Monument Valley - Page
Travel east along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon to the Painted
Desert. We're crossing the largest Navajo Indian Reservation. Continue to
the Arizona / Utah border. We'll arrive at Monument Valley and we will enjoy
a local sightseeing tour with a native Navajo Indian guide. The isolated
1,000 foot high stark red cliffs and buttes surrounded by empty, sandy
desert have been filmed and photographed countless times over the years for
movies starring John Wayne. Overnight in Page.

- Day 8 Lake Powell - Bryce Canyon
This morning, cross Glen Canyon Dam, the last of the major dams built on
the Colorado River. View Lake Powell from the lookout point. It is the
second largest man-made lake in the United States. Awesome in its dimensions
and complexity, its desolate beauty makes it an experience never to be
forgotten. We cross back to enter the Mormon State of Utah, to Bryce Canyon
National Park. View thousands of delicately carved spires that rise in
brilliant colors of red, yellow and orange, from the amphitheaters, along
with towering cliffs, and rainbow-striped rock formations. Hotel: Bryce

- Day 9 Bryce Canyon - Zion National Park - Las Vegas
We travel south towards Zion National Park. The dramatic white, pink and
red rocks of the sculptured canyon and soaring cliffs, is a creation of the
Virgin River thousands of years ago. After our visit, we'll continue to Las
Vegas where we will say good-bye to our traveling companions ending in Las
Vegas.
