Sequoia National Park is the second-oldest national park in the United States. Big trees are the prime attraction of Sequoia National Park - many groves of the remarkable giant sequoia are found scattered along the moist, wet-facing slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains, between elevations of 5,000 and 7,000 feet. And along with Kings Canyon National Park, they are both home to the giants: immense mountains, deep canyons and huge trees.
