Day 1: Los Angeles - Sequoia - King Canyon National Park - Modesto:
En route onto the 99-highway in the morning to commerce a 3 days nature
journey. In the afternoon, arrive in Fresno. After lunch, proceed to Kings
Canyon and Sequoia National Park. Sequoia National Park is the second-oldest
national park in the United States. Big trees are the prime attraction of
Sequoia National Park - many groves of the remarkable giant sequoia are found
scattered along the moist, wet-facing slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains,
between elevations of 5,000 and 7,000 feet. And along with Kings Canyon
National Park, they are both home to the giants: immense mountains, deep
canyons and huge trees. From there, trails lead to the high-alpine wilderness,
which makes up most of these parks. Beneath the surface lies over 200
fascinating caverns.
Hotel: Ramada Inn, Modesto or similar.
-
Day 2: Napa Valley - Lake Tahoe - Reno:
Napa Valley is home to over 200 wineries, offering world-class quality wines & incredible scenery. You will get the chance to taste some of California's finest wines at the visitor center (no winery visit). Lake Tahoe is often referred to as the perfect year round vacation destination
with terrific weather and breathtaking mountain and lake scenery. Unlike other
vacation spots, enjoy a beautiful blue Lake Tahoe and its surrounding region
winter, spring, summer and fall. 63 streams and two hot springs feed the Lake.
An average of 1,400,000 tons of water (or one-tenth of an inch) evaporates
every day. That's more than is released through the Truckee River. The amount
of water that evaporates from the surface of Lake Tahoe every year could
supply a city the size of Los Angeles for 5 years. Proceed to Reno in the
evening, which serves a mixture of tantalizing entertainment and gambling.
Hotel: Sand Regency Casino, Reno or similar.
-
Day 3: Sacramento - Los Angeles:
Continue to the state capital of California, Sacramento. Peacefully located in a leafy valley of scenic rivers and canopies of trees, today’s Sacramento is a cosmopolitan convergence of tall, gleaming buildings, hearty Victorians, splendid restaurants and shops. Sacramento has been called a snapshot of Wild West history in a modern, world-class city. With an excess of first-class hotel rooms and attractions, Sacramento offers an affordable and exciting vacation. Its amenities, combined with the rich history of California’s Wild West, help visitors once again Discover Gold in California’s Capital City.
