California offers some of the world's most spectacular sights and best spots for vacations. From the Golden Gate to Tinsel Town this motor coach tour and train itinerary includes must see places in Monterey and train rides through Salinas Valley and on the Pacific Coast by Santa Barbara.
Day 1
Arrival in San Francisco
Arrival in San Francisco. Check in for two nights at The Handlery Union Square Hotel or Tuscan Inn Fisherman's Wharf (An additional fee of $24 per room per person per day on a double basis will be charged). Afternoon free for exploring the city, Fisherman's Wharf or riding cable cars, etc. Dinner tonight at your choice of Italian or French Restaurant.

Day 2
Sonoma - Napa Valley
Sonoma and Napa Valley Wine Country tour at 8:10am. Across the Golden Gate Bridge visit the historic square in Sonoma. Time for lunch on your own. Then to Napa Valley. Visit two or three wineries. Return to the city via Oakland Bay Bridge. (Instead of wine country take a city tour with Muir Woods. OR for Yosemite 13 hour tour add $80 per person).

Day 3
San Francisco - Monterey Bay (Dinner include)
From San Francisco travel south to Monterey. Departure by 9:00 a.m. Driving along San Andreas Fault turn west to Half Moon Bay and then south on the Pacific Coast Highway One to Santa Cruz with beautiful views of the ocean. Reaching Monterey by mid day, after a short tour stop at The Cannery Row allowing time for lunch or optional visit to Aquarium. Seaside gardens of Pacific Grove to 17 Mile Drive see the ocean crash on shore and mansions and golf courses. Stop at Pebble Beach. Continue to Carmel by the Sea the idyllic village with its art galleries and cottages set in Pine trees. Arrive at your hotel by 5:30.

Day 4
Monterey - Paso Robles (Breakfast include)
After a relaxing morning, at 10:45 AMTRAK Thruway motor coach transfers you via to Salinas Train Station. AMTRAK Train # 11 leaves at 11:48, just in time for lunch going through Salinas Valley, center of Monterey County’s agricultural region by the river and small towns, fields of lettuce, broccoli and acres of green houses. Around King City we see miles of newly planted vineyards where just a few years ago there was only cattle pasture. The oil fields appear and then the military installations at Camp Roberts. Passing Mission San Miguel we reach Paso Robles at 1:38. We are met by The Wine Wrangler for a short tour of this interesting quintessential small town and a winery visit with tasting.

Day 5
Paso Robles - Hearst Castle - Los Angeles (Lunch include)
The Wine Wrangler takes you about 45 minutes west to the coast and then on Highway One to San Simeon. *Tour No. 1 of Hearst Castle built by Julia Morgan during the 1920s and 1930s for the art collection of world famous newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst. This 2 hour tour is ideal for first time visitors with an easy walk, a total of about 150 steps. Enjoy a picnic lunch and stop for shopping or visit a winery. Continue to San Luis Obispo. Board The Coast Starlight at 3:20. Through Pismo Beach via Vandenberg Space station near Gaviota see some of the most scenic ocean views all the way through Santa Barbara to Oxnard. Turning inland around six the train goes past miles of orange groves then through Fillmore and Simi Valley to Glendale.
At about 9:00 we arrive in the heart of the great metropolis of Los Angeles at the Union Station that you may recognize from many Hollywood films.

Day 6
Grand tour of Los Angeles & Movie Stars' Home (about 8 hours)
See Hollywood sign, Rodeo Drive, Melrose, Sunset Strip, Farmers Market, Olvera Street, Chinatown, The Music Center and the Griffith Park Observatory and Movie Stars' Homes in Beverly Hills and Bel Air.
Hotel: Kyoto Grand Garden Hotel, downtown
Day 7
Los Angeles - Hometown (or own activities)
Transfer to Los Angeles International Airport.
*Trains can be late at times but overall the itinerary is very interesting and enjoyable. This independent trip requires some flexibility and acceptance of train or other delays and minor changes. It is like a mini adventure. If you are finicky about times and details perhaps you should look at a different itinerary.

Additional Note
Child Rate: Child rates apply to those 5 to 11 years and using
existing bedding with 2 full-paying passengers (regardless of ages). For
example, tour members who are between 5 and 11 years and traveling with two
adults in the same room receive a child discount on the tour price.
All purchases are subject to re-confirmation
within 1-2 business days after booking, please do not book the airline tickets
until you received the confirmation.
Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of
booking by email. Within 72 hours of submitting your reservation you will
receive a confirmation email confirming the booking status.

Redemption
You will receive an confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order was received. Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your Confirmation Email (e-ticket). When you reserve your attractions and services you will be asked to print e-tickets to present when you arrive at your destination. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms &
Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand
these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.
Hotels listed for each tour may change due to special events,
conventions or other reasons beyond our control.
Meals when included are with a choice of menu. Dinner includes soup or
salad, main course, dessert and coffee, milk or tea. Wine, bar beverages,
appetizers or fancy desserts are at extra cost to you. Vegetarian, Kosher or
other diets can not be guaranteed but you can order appropriate items.
Baggage checked with us is brought to and from the hotel rooms in
Monterey and Solvang on the Cypress tour. In case of loss, our maximum liability
is $500.00 or repairs up to $50.00 for damage other than normal wear and tear.
Baggage handling is not included for Yosemite tours.
Cancellations and refunds
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and
hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and
pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time
of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our
office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Gotobus through web mail
at Contact Us. Your refund
request will be answered and processed promptly. If you do not receive any reply
within 2 business days, that means your request is not received successfully;
thus, the tour status remains "confirmed". Please contact us immediately at
617.354.2101.
Cancellation penalties per person as follows; there is 6% handling fee
of refund amount.
Up to 21 days before tour date the charge is $50 per person.
A handling fee of $25 per booking will be charged for any alteration or
revision made to a reservation.
20 to 3 days prior tour date the charge is 50% of the tour cost.
A handling fee of $55 per transaction will be charged for any alteration or
revision made to a reservation.
2 days to 24 hours prior tour the charge is 75% of the tour cost.
A handling fee of $75 per transaction will be charged for any alteration or
revision made to a reservation.
Less than 24 hours or No Show the charge is 100% of the tour cost.
We don't accept any alteration or revision made to a reservation.
The refund is the amount paid minus the cancellation charge and handling
fee.
We cannot grant refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such
improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make
changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute
hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes
in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the
itinerary pages.
Tour Cancellation
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance
with operating requirements (e.g. minimum number of passengers) or circumstances
beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the
tour, Gotobus' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it
has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar
tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred
on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from
customers.
We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due
to our cancellations.

Do I need to reconfirm the tour?
Yes, you will have to call the tour operator at least 24 hours before the departure time to reconfirm the tour. They will let you know the exact pick up location and time.
