The remains of Dr. Sun, who was a pioneer of Chinese democratic revolution was buried here on June 1, 1929. The mausoleum, shaped like an alarm bell, is built at the foot of the mountain. A feeling of respect may be aroused when climbing by the steps. Linggu Temple, this historical scenic spot has Linggu Temple and Pagoda, Beamless Hall, etc.., and a public cemetery of fallen soldiers. Linggu Temple keeps the parietal relics of Monk Xuangzang. The name of Beamless Hall is from its special structure, there isn't even one piece of wood or beam. The altar before Tan Yankai's tomb is an original relic of Yuanmingyuan Garden. The Nanjing Museum offers you a lot of different culture scenes, including the sailing of Zheng He (the eunuch admiral of the Ming Dynasty who explored at least to Africa, perhaps further) and real-silk-making. Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province, is one of the most beautiful cities of China. Today, we will start our tour with a relaxing cruise on the peaceful West Lake. Hangzhou's fame rests mainly with the picturesque West Lake. West Lake covers an area of 6.78 square kilometers. Three sides of the lake are surrounded by verdant mountains and one side of it properous city. Centuries later, Marco Polo called Hangzhou the most enchanting city in all the world. This is most evident in the West Lake area--the effective, if not geographic, center of Hangzhou. Hills embrace the lake on three sides; the city proper lies to the east. Ancient Chinese people praised the West Lake area as a land of intoxicating beauty. Su Shi, a poet from the Song Dynasty, likened the lake to Xizi, a Chinese Cleopatra, for its allure. Then we will visit the Lingyin Temple, known as the Temple of Inspired Seclusion, and tour to Pagoda of Six Harmonies.

Day 10 Suzhou (B/L/D)
Resting on the ancient Grand Canal, Suzhou is well-know for its old delicate gardens. Narrow canals threaded between white walled homes have earned Suzhou the name "Venice of the East". We are going to visit the exquisite Zhuozheng Garden(Humble Administrator's Garden). Silk Embroidery Institute, Garden of Master of Fishing Nets and Tiger Hill. Zhuozheng Garden is one of the four most famous classic gardens in China (the others are: Summer Palace, Mountain Resort of Chengde and Garden for Lingering in Suzhou). It was built in 1522 during the Ming Dynasty. Water accounts for three-fifths of its total area. All the major buildings face the water. Centering on the pool, bridges and corridors harmoniously link up isles, rockeries, pavilions and towers. The garden shows a natural and flowing artistic style. Sometimes the smallest package can contain the most magnificent gift. The Garden of the Master of the Nets is a clear example of this. It is the smallest of the Suzhou residential gardens, yet it is the most impressive because of its use of space which creates the illusion of an area that is much greater than its actual size. Even more than the architectural achievement is the mood of tranquility and harmony that this humble garden embodies.

Hotel: Bamboo Grove Hotel, Suzhou or similar.
