Itinerary

From the Spanish Conquistadors, to the American Pioneers, to the writings of Jack Kerouac, the open road has held an irresistible allure to those who want to explore America's vast western expanses.

And here in one itinerary is a chance to see everything that makes America great: First, it's the towering granite cliffs and stalwart pines of Yosemite. Then comes Las Vegas' visceral rush of excitement and neon sparkling in the desert. Then the wide-open Arizona countryside and the majestic gaping cliffs of the Grand Canyon.

Then it's on to Los Angeles, in many ways the quintessential American city. First Hollywood - the dream factory where the globe's celluloid miracles are born.

Take an excursion into Baja California, Mexico. From Tijuana to La Bufadora, Baja California has a unique charm all to its own with strong architectural influences from both US and Mexican style. Stay overnight in the lively port city of Ensenada.

On the return journey, drive past California's world famous coastline, stopping in Santa Barbara and Solvang; the authentic Danish villa nestled amongst the lush rolling green hills of Southern CaliforniaÂ’s Santa Inez valley.

  • Day 1: Bay Area - Yosemite - Fresno:
    From waterfalls that drop thousands of feet, and endless mountain ridges, Yosemite National Park can be considered one of the most famous scenic spots in the Western United States. Arrive in Yosemite National Park after lunch. Highlights include: Tunnel View, Bridal Veil Falls, El Captain, Merced River, Yosemite Falls, Half Dome. Overnight stay in Fresno.

  • Day 2: Fresno - Las Vegas:
    Las Vegas, it's a city that has something to offer for everyone. The infamous Las Vegas Strip is where tourists can enjoy a walk in the warm desert evening and visit the newest and most lavish casinos from Bellagio, Venetian, MGM Grand, The Mirage, and more. Or perhaps take a stroll downtown and view a dazzling light show that spans an entire street (Optional night tour - approx. $20/person). There are special shows and performances year round that truly makes Las Vegas a city that never sleeps. Overnight stay in Las Vegas.

  • Day 3: Las Vegas - Hoover Dam - Grand Canyon - Las Vegas:
    The Grand Canyon offers one of the most spectacular examples of erosion not found anywhere in the world. Canyon National Park is a designated World Heritage Site and is unmatched in the incomparable vistas that it offers to visitors on the rim. Today, take an excursion to this incomparable National Park. Overnight stay in Las Vegas.

    Las Vegas - Hoover Dam - Grand Canyon West "The Skywalk" - Las Vegas
    Your journey begins from stopping by the Magnificent Hoover Dam and then on to the Majestic Hualapai Indian Reservation where is located at the West Rim of the Grand Canyon (Mandatory: Grand Canyon West Rim Entrance Fee and Lunch ($66/person). You can walk along the rim of this great wonder of nature - unblemished by modern civilization. You may walk on the Skywalk (Optional tour: $32). David Jin, the man who conceived and funded Skywalk makes this U-shaped platform, which extends 70ft over the edge and about 4,000 feet over the canyon floor. You may also elect to take a helicopter flight into the Grand Canyon & cruise along the Colorado River aboard a pontoon boat (Optional tour: $179). Overnight stay in Las Vegas.

  • Day 4: Los Angeles:
    Visit the largest metropolitan area in California, Los Angeles. Highlights include the historical landmarks of Hollywood, downtown, as well as Hollywood Blvd., Chinese Theater, and the newly built Kodak Theatre, which is now the permanent home to the Oscars. Overnight stay in Los Angeles.

  • Day 5: Los Angeles - Tijuana - Ensenada:
    In the morning, pass through the border city of Tijuana and head onto the Golden Coast highway. Stop by the small town of Rosalito around noon. Try a fresh mixed cocktail or simply take a stroll on the beach. In the afternoon, arrive in the port city of Ensenada. The rest of the afternoon is to leisure. After check in, enjoy the various shops that carry anything from fine Mexican handicraft, glassware to the famous Mexican Tequila.

  • Day 6: Ensenada - La Bufadora - Coronado Island - Los Angeles:
    In the morning, head for La Bufadora and experience the powerful waves of the Pacific Ocean as it cuts into the jagged coastline making for a picturesque scenic view of the coast. Visit the natural Blowhole located in La Bufadora. Arrive in San Diego around noon. Cross the Coronado Bridge to visit "Del Coronado Hotel", which is the oldest hotel in California. At more than 100 years old, many Former presidents of the United States as well as countless celebrities have stayed here. Also visit San Diego Old Town. It is known as the origin of California, where the State Flag was first raised to commemorate California as the 31th State in the union.

  • Day 7: Los Angeles - Santa Barbara -Solvang - Bay Area:
    In the morning, visit the Danish immigrant town of Solvang. The word Solvang in Danish can be translated as "sunny countryside", which in fact is true for almost the entire year. While in Solvang, enjoy the famous Danish pastries, cookies, and chocolates. After lunch, head back to the Bay Area.

  • Pay upon Arrival: If you select Grand Canyon West Rim on Day 3, there will be a mandatory fee of $66/person (Includes Entrance fee: $54/person; Local Lunch $12/person).
  • Skywalk ($32/person), Helicopter & Pontoon Boat Trip ($179/person)
  • Laundry, valet, telephone calls, wines and liquors other than those specified
  • All meals and drinks are not included
  • Personal Expenses such as phone calls, room service, alcoholic and bar beverages, laundry, airline excess luggage charges, visa fees, optional admission/excursion fees are not included and may be significant. Gratuity to tour guide and bus driver (Suggested: $6/day in total)

Additional Note

Visitors to Mexico:

  • US Citizens: Photo I.D. is required and a passport is recommended or US birth certificate for re-entry into USA. Parents traveling with children are recommended to bring birth certificates.
  • Non-US Citizens: A passport, I-94 card or resident alien card is required. Additional paperwork might apply for visitors. Please advise your local immigration office/embassy to ensure multiple entries into the US is allowed. The tour or bus company is unable to wait for tour participants detained or delay out of the normal wait times.

Remarks:

  • Tour Languages: Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours languages (English, Mandarin and Cantonese) may be combined to operate the tours.
  • Child Rate: Child rates apply to ages 2-12 using existing bedding with 2 full-paying passengers. Each hotel room can only accommodate a maximum 4 guests (adults and children).
  • Infant Rate: A separate seat is required for infants and infant rate ($25/day) apply to those under 2 years old (*rate does not include any admission fees)
  • No change in pick-up location is allowed within 2 business days from departure. We are not responsible for the missed tour due to unconfirmed change in pick up locations.
