Day 1 : Arrival in Beijing (L/D)

Arrive in Beijing Capital International Airport from Hometown: Tour guide will meet you at the Baggage Claim Area and transfer to hotel. We will proceed to visit the Temple of Heaven if your flight arrives early. The Temple of Heaven is a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design which simply and graphically illustrates a cosmogony of great importance for the evolution of one of the world's great civilizations.

Day 2 : Beijing (B/L/D)

Today we are going to have a full day sightseeing. We will visit the Chang Tomb, one of the Ming Tombs (Consisting of mausoleums of 13 Ming emperors, is one of the largest imperial necropolises in China), Sacred Road and Great Wall at Badaling which is the symbol of China and Climbing the Great Wall you can pass visitors from all over the world, and hear conversations in almost every language.

Day 3 : Beijing (B/L/D)

Full day sightseeing to the Tiananmen Square and explore the Palace Museum (known as Forbidden City) in the morning. After lunch, visit the Imperial Summer Palace, the imperial palace for the Ming and Qing with a history of around 600 years. Enjoy a delicious Peking Duck Dinner at local restaurant in the evening.

Day 4 : Beijing - Chengdu (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we will fly to Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province. And then visit the Tower of Viewing the River.

Day 5 : Chengdu - Lhasa (B/L/D)

Transfer to the airport and flight to Lhasa. Afternoon free.

Day 6 : Lhasa (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we will visit The Potala Palace and the Norbulingka. Potala Palace is the highest palace of the world. The palace has over 1000 rooms housing 10000 altars and 200000 Buddhist Statues. Here was the residence of the Dalai Lama. Walking through the long halls, painted rooms, and sacred chapels of this architectural wonder on pavement stone worn smooth by the feet of thousand monks over hundreds of years. The Norbulingka is Dalai Lama's former summer palace, home to a precious stone garden built in the second-half of the 18th century.

Day 7 : Lhasa (B/L/D)

Whole day sightseeing in Lhasa. We will visit Drepung, The Jokhang Temple and Sera Monastery.

Day 8 : Lhasa - Shigatze (B/L/D)

Today's sightseeing in Lhasa includes Balkor street, market and city wall. Then transfer to Shigatze by coach.

Day 9 : Shigatze - Gyangtze - Shigatze (B/L/D)

Today we will visit Tashilumpo and Shalu Monastery. Shalu Monastery is located 20 kilometers southeast of Xigaze. It was first built in 1087. It demonstrates a combination of the Tibet and Han architectural styles. It is famous for its sandalwood slips carved with Buddhist scripture and a jar for filling sacred water. It is said that for years the water does not decrease or deteriorate. The murals in the monastery are rich in contents and excellent in workmanship and are one of the rare fine arts in Tibet.

Day 10 : Shigatze - Lhasa (B/L/D)

This morning, a coach travel will take us to Lhasa. Be free in the afternoon.

Day 11 : Lhasa - Chengdu (B/L/D)

After the breakfast, we will fly to Chengdu. Today's sightseeing in Chengdu includes Wuhou Temple, it was built in memory of ZhugeLiang, prime minister of the Shuhan State during the Three states Period in the third century (220-280). In the temple are forty-seven statues of Shuhan civil and military officials as well as steles, stone tablets, tripods, stoves and other relics. Then we will visit the Thatched Cottage of Du Pu, a famous Chinese poet of the Tang Dynasty (618-907). In the year 759 A.D., at the age of 47, compelled by poverty and social upheaval, Du Pu moved from Gansu to the outskirts of Chengdu and built a thatched hut. During his stay of nearly four years, he composed more than 240 poems reflecting upon the misery of the people. The original residence disappeared long ago. It was renovated in the Ming and Qing dynasties and enlarged to its present scale in an expansive park, including a bamboo garden, several pavilions, and a number of bridges.

Day 12 : Chengdu - Ermei Mountains (B/L/D)

Today we will visit the Ermei Mountains. Ermeishan Mountain has been famous for its beauty and the Buddha. In this mountain, the natural scene and its long history melt together and assist each other. It has become the object of people to sing for. As the natural heritage, Ermeishan Mountain can assist the studies on world biota. In addition, its special geologic feature is the proof of biogenic derivation. As the cultural heritage, Ermeishan Mountain possesses the relics of Buddhism culture. Here you can find long-period humanism history, temple and buildings and a large amount of precious cultural relics, all of which make the mountain one of four Buddhism Mountains. We will also visit the Leshan Buddha, this colossal statue was carved on a cliff on Soaring to the Clouds Hill facing the three rivers. On the rock face to the left of the statue, a twisting path leads down to the base of the statue from the top of the hill. The huge seated figure measures 71 meters from top to bottom, has a head 10 meters wide, a nose 5.6 meters high, ears 7 meters long, and legs 28 meters from knee to foot. According to historical records, the statue took ninety years to complete, from 713 to 803 during the Tang Dynasty. A monk called Hai Tong from Lingyun Temple is said to have sponsored the construction of the Buddha at the confluence of the rivers to protect boats and passengers from the violent currents there.

Today we will visit the temples in the mountains and then transfer back to Chengdu.

Day 14 : Chengdu - Chongqing (B/L/D)

We are going to Chongqing this morning. On the way, we will visit the Dazu Grottos. The stone carvings of Dazu, chiefly consisting of Buddhists images, are the art of religious nature. More than 50,000 figure statues are scattered over 75 spots. In 1999, it was listed as the World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. All the Cliffside carvings, ingeniously conceived with a great originality, are well known for their variety in subject matter, richness in content, and their co-existence of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. Nevertheless, the stone carvings of Dazu Grottoes differ somewhat from the stone sculpture produced in the previous period. Emphasizing on both the law of aesthetic standards and the law of art form, the outstanding practice in Dazu was regarded as a good example to promote the advance of the grotto art from chiseling to Cliffside carving.

Day 15 : Chongqing - Beijing (B/L/D)

Today, we will fly to Beijing.

After breakfast, we will going to the airport. Bid farewell to the fascinating color and grandeur of China as you board your flight bound of homeland.
