Green Island's entire coastline is a tourist attraction: In places along the rugged eastern side, fall hills rise abruptly from the sea; in other places are sensational rock formations, both on the shore and protruding from the water. The unspoiled island, now port of the East Coast National Scenic Area, is noted form its saltwater hot spring (said to be one of only three in the world), incredible coral formations, and sensational costal scenery. The island's reefs, crystal-clear water, and beaches are great from fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and collecting seashells. Glass-bottom boat rides offer captivating views of coral reefs and colorful tropical fish. A hostel on the islands southern tip is the center of a recreational complex for camping, picnicking, sightseeing, and hiking in the hills.
