Tour Itinerary:
  • Day 1 USA to Beijing:
    Fly to Beijing, the capital of China. Cross the International Date Line and spend the night aboard the plane.

  • Day 2 Beijing to Urumqi:
    Arrive Beijing in the evening, catch a connecting flight to Urumqi, upon arrival, you are escorted to the five-star hotel accommodations.

  • Day 3 Beijing to Urumqi (B/L/D):
    Fly to the Urumqi, a city on the northern route of the ancient Silk Road and the most "inland" city in the world. Visit Xinjiang Provincial Museum and the Nanshan (Southern Mountain) Pasture, which located over 75 km from Urumqi. It is among the lofty peaks of the Tianshan Range with green spruces, crystal-clear springs and exotic plants. You may have a chance to visit a Kazakhs family yurt.
  • Day 4 Urumqi (B/L/D):
    A highlight of your tour today is the Heavenly Lake. This crescent-shaped lake deserves its name, Pearl of Heavenly Mountain. With melted snow as its source, Heavenly Lake enjoys crystal water. Take a boat ride on this lake. After return to the downtown of Urumqi, you still have chance to walk around the famous Dabazha Market.

  • Day 5 Urumqi to Turpan (B/L/D):
    Take a bus to Turpan - one of important cities on the ancient Silk Road route, this time-honored city has ancient city ruins, mysterious kingdom tombs and splendid Buddhist caves. Today’s sightseeing includes the Karez Well, the ruins at Gaochang City as well as the Bizalkik Thousand Buddha Caves. Enjoy a folk dance and show after dinner.

  • Day 6 Turpan to Liu Yuan (B/L/D):
    Continue visit this famous city which has best grapes and other fruits, you may have opportunity to experience Grape Valley, invited to enjoy a local minority dance show under the grape trees. Transfer to Dun Huang upon arrival at Liu Yuan. Later, board an overnight train bound for Dunhuang.
  • Day 7 Dunhuang (B/L/D):
    Arrive LiuYuan train station in the morning, after breakfast Visit the renowned Mogao Grottoes which is one of the most magnificent are treasures in the world. The grottoes show an uninterrupted history of Chinese art over a period of more than 1,500 years. According to Tang Dynasty records, you will relive the daily routines and special events as captured by the artists while you are exploring the 750 caves. There are also ups and downs in the artistic quality over the centuries, depending on the fortunes of Buddhism with available art patronage. Artists in each dynasty painted with their distinctive palette.

  • Day 8 Dunhuang (B/L/D):
    After breakfast, visit the Crescent Moon Lake, a spring recorded in history at least two thousand years ago. Despite the shifting sands, this spring remained full during droughts and does not overrun in rain. Visit also the most impressive sand dune scenery anywhere in China, Singing Sand Dune, with dunes 200-300 meters high. The sands make a humming noise in windy weather or when a person slides down from the top, hence the name. Then visit the Dun Huang Museum. Enjoy a local Minority Show while dinner.

  • Day 9 Dunhuang to Jiayuguan to Lanzhou (B/L/D):
    Today, travel to Jiayuguan, the west terminus of the Great Wall. Upon arrival, visit the last fortress of the Great Wall built here by the Ming in 1372, Jiayuguan. This great fort was the final defense of the empire, the spot where China ended and beyond which lay a terrifying wilderness. There is a section of the wall built on a slope, which is virtually standing vertically, and it is called "Hanging Great Wall". In the afternoon, we take a flight bound for Lanzhou. (*If air service is not available, an overnight train will be used.).
  • Day 10 Lanzhou to Xi’an (B/L/DS):
    After breakfast visit the White Pagoda Mountain and Five Spring Mountain Park. Fly to Xi'an , the eternal city, records the great changes of the Chinese nation just like a living history book. Visit The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, which are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. After that visit the renowned Shaanxi Provincial Historical Museum, it houses a large collection of 113,000 historic and cultural artifacts unearthed in Shaanxi. It is an absolute must for every visitor to the city. Walk around the ancient City Wall when come back to the city center, the City Wall in Xian is the most complete city wall to survive in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. Dinner will be served as Imperial Dumpling Banquet.
  • Day 11 Xi’an to Luo Yang (B/L/DS):
    Take a motor coach to Luo Yang, one of the seven ancient capital cities in China's history, served sooner or later as the capital city with a history of 1592 years and for 13 different dynasties, the city is considered the miniature of the ancient Chinese history. Visit the White Horse Temple, this temple is believe to be the first Buddhist temple built by the government in China. Dinner will be served as the local flavor.

  • Day 12 Luo Yang to Dengfong (B/L/D):
    Today’s sightseeing to the world-famous Longmen Grottoes which are located 12km south of Luoyang. The name "Longmen" which means "Dragon Gate". Today, there are still 2345 caves and niches, 100,000 Buddhist images, more than 2800 inscribed tablets, and 43 Buddhist pagodas. Visit the White Horse Temple, this temple is believe to be the first Buddhist temple built by the government in China.
  • Day 13 Dengfong to Zhengzhou (B/SL/D):
    After breakfast travel to Shaolin Temple, the Shaolin Temple was built in honor of an Indian monk called Bodhidharma, founder of the Mahayana sect of Buddhism or more popularly known as Chinese Chan Buddhism. This temple is therefore regarded as the birthplace of Chinese Buddhism. The temple, which bore witness to the rise and fall of several dynasties, is also famous for its Martial Arts (Kung Fu). Shaolin Kung Fu is the product of the synthesis of other martial arts principles into a distinctive martial art style. An ancient Shaolin Master once said: "Study Shaolin style in great depth, then study for wisdom and train the body." This quote embodies the physical and mental strength and discipline required in the study of martial arts. Enjoy special Shaolin Vegetarian food for lunch. Continue visit Pagoda Forest which Lying to the west of the temple, The forest features 243 stupas of different architectural styles. The exquisite stone and brick carvings are of great value in the study of Chinese carving. Stay over night in Zheng Zhou.
  • Day 14 Shanghai (B/L):
    After breakfast, fly to the “Oriental Paris” – Shanghai. Known as the largest economic and trade center, a comprehensive industrial base and the leading port in China, Shanghai draws the attention of the whole world. Visit the highest TV tower of Asia and the Silk Museum. Free in the afternoon.

  • Day 15 Shanghai to USA (B):
    Bidding China farewell, fly your selected airline home.
