Jiuzhaigou Yangtze River 12 days 11 Nights Tour |
Tour Itinerary:
- Day 1 USA to Beijing:
Fly to Beijing, the capital of China. Cross the International Date Line
and spend the night aboard the plane.
- Day 2 Beijing to Cheng Du:
Arrive Beijing in the evening, catch a connecting flight to Chengdu. Upon
arrival, you are escorted to the five-star hotel accommodations.
- Day 3 Cheng Du (B/L/DS):
Fly to the capital city of Sichuan Province, Cheng Du, in the morning. The
history of Chengdu can be traced back 2,400. Visit The Dujiangyan Irrigation
Project, it’s a long-established water conservation works. It is 56 kilometers
(34.8miles) west of Chengdu at Dujiangyan city lying in the middle reach of
Minjiang River, which is the longest tributary of Yangtze River. on November
29th, 2000, Dujiangyan was listed on world cultural heritages by UNESCO. Next
visit the Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, you may have a chance to take
a picture with an adorable baby panda! This evening, enjoy the famous
Medicinal food for dinner, followed by attend an entertaining performance of
the Sichuan Opera.
- Day 4 Cheng Du to Huanglon to Jiuzhaigou (B/L/D):
Fly to Huanglong after breakfast. The Huanglong valley is made up of
snow-capped peaks and the easternmost of all the Chinese glaciers. You may
find its mountain landscape, diverse forest ecosystems as well as spectacular
limestone formations, waterfalls and hot springs. Take a bus to Jiuzhaigou
after that.
- Day 5 Jiuzhaigou (B/L/D):
Whole day tour in Jiuzhaigou. This valley comprises a series of diverse
forest ecosystems. Its superb landscapes are particularly interesting for
their series of narrow conic karst land forms and spectacular waterfalls. Some
140 bird species also inhabit the valley, as well as a number of endangered
plant and animal species, including the giant panda and the Sichuan takin.
Enjoy the folk dance tonight.
- Day 6 Jiuzhaigou to Chengdu to Le Shan to Chengdu (B/L/D):
Take the morning flight back to Chengdu, transfer to Le Shan. The city is
famous for it’s largest stone sculpture of Buddha in the world. Thus people
say as “Mountain is a Buddha, Buddha is a mountain!”. Overnight in Chengdu.
- Day 7 Chengdu to Dazu to Chongqing (B/L/D):
After Breakfast, transfer to Dazu country, visit The work of Dazu Rock,
it’s began in the first year of Yonghui in the Tang Dynasty and continued
until the Ming and Qing dynasties. now, it enjoys equal popularity with the
Yungang and Longmen Grottoes. The general term of "Dazu Rock Carvings" refers
to all the cliffside carvings in Dazu County, which includes the carvings in
Beishan (including Beita), Baodingshan, Nanshan, Shizhuanshan and Shimenshan.
Transfer to Chongqing in the evening, Board the cruise ship start the great
Yangtze River Cruise.
- Day 8 Yangtze River Cruise (B/L/D):
Shore excursion at Shibaozhao which is known as the “Pearl of the Yangtze
River”. ** Alternate shore excursion may visit Wanzhou.
- Day 9 Yangtze River Cruise (B/L/D):
Cruise through the first Gorge- Qutang Gorge, which is famous for its
sheer and spectacular precipices. When arrive at Wushan, change small boats to
view the breathtaking Small Gorges. Here sheer cliffs and steep mountains rise
on either side, creating one of natural fine arts gallery as natural scenic
wonders unfold on both banks of the river. Rejoin the cruise, sail cross the
Wu Gorge, celebrated for it’s twelve peaks.
- Day 10 Yangtze River Cruise to Yichang to Shanghai (B/L/D):
Visit the Three Gorges Dam site at San Douping. This great dam, the
largest of its kind in the world, will provide China with tremendous power
generation and flood control services. Arrive at Yichang after lunch, take a
flight to Shanghai.
- Day 11 Shanghai (B/L/D):
Known as the largest economic and trade center, a comprehensive industrial
base and the leading port in China, Shanghai draws the attention of the whole
world. Visit Yu Garden, Shanghai Museum and the Bund. You may go shopping at
Nanjing or Huai Hai Road's popular shops.
- Day 12 Shanghai to USA (B):
Bidding China farewell, fly your selected airline home.
