Tour Itinerary:
- Day 1 USA to Beijing:
Fly to Beijing, the capital of China. Cross the International Date Line
and spend the night aboard the plane.
- Day 2 Beijing to Chengdu:
Arrive Beijing in the evening, catch a connecting flight to Chengdu. Upon
arrival, you are escorted to the five-star hotel accommodations.
- Day 3 Chengdu (B/L/DS):
Fly to the capital city of Sichuan Province, Cheng Du, in the morning. The
history of Chengdu can be traced back 2,400. Visit The Dujiangyan Irrigation
Project, it’s a long-established water conservation works. It is 56 kilometers
(34.8miles) west of Chengdu at Dujiangyan city lying in the middle reach of
Minjiang River, which is the longest tributary of Yangtze River. on November
29th, 2000, Dujiangyan was listed on world cultural heritages by UNESCO. Next
visit the Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, you may have a chance to take
a picture with an adorable baby panda! This evening, enjoy the famous
Medicinal food for dinner, followed by attend an entertaining performance of
the Sichuan Opera.
- Day 4 Chengdu to Huanglong to Jiuzhaigou (B/L/D):
Fly to Huanglong after breakfast. The Huanglong valley is made up of
snow-capped peaks and the easternmost of all the Chinese glaciers. You may
find its mountain landscape, diverse forest ecosystems as well as spectacular
limestone formations, waterfalls and hot springs. Take a bus to Jiuzhaigou
after that.
- Day 5 Jiuzhaigou (B/L/D):
Whole day tour in Jiuzhaigou. This valley comprises a series of diverse
forest ecosystems. Its superb landscapes are particularly interesting for
their series of narrow conic karst land forms and spectacular waterfalls. Some
140 bird species also inhabit the valley, as well as a number of endangered
plant and animal species, including the giant panda and the Sichuan takin.
Enjoy the folk dance tonight.
- Day 6 Jiuzhaigou to Chengdu to Kunming (B/L/D):
Take the morning flight back to Chengdu, Upon arriver, sightseeing to Mt.
Qingcheng, It is a famous mountain for tourism. Surrounded by countless peaks
and densely covered by ancient trees with branches reaching towards the sky,
the mountain was named "Green Town". The mountain consists of two parts - the
anterior Mt. Qingcheng and the posterior Mt. Qingcheng. The anterior mountain
is famous for its beautiful scenery and numerous cultural and historic sites,
while the posterior mountain is noted for its paradisiacal scenery, which is
primitive and brilliant, gorgeous and mysterious. Back to Chengdu in the
evening and fly to Kunming.
- Day 7 Kunming (B/L/DS):
Kunming holds distinction as having the best year-round weather in all of
China. It is known as the “Spring City”. Have a full day tour to the Stone
Forest and Jiuxiang Scenic Resort. Stone Forest is one of the most remarkable
nature phenomena in China. It is 86KM away from Kunming, consisting of 80
hectares of innumerable bizarre shaped ancient limestone cliffs and peaks
created by wind and water erosion some 270 million years ago. It is the home
of Sani Tribe, one of the branches of Yi Minority People. Continue on to visit
Jiuxiang in the afternoon, a beautiful large scenic resort inhabited mainly by
the Yi and Hui nationalities, Jiuxiang is situated in Jiuxiang Township, over
70 kilometres away from Kunming and 47 kilometres away from the county town of
Yiliang. Overhere, mountain ridges stretch and peaks taper. Rivers and streams
crisscross. Shady trees are wide-spreading. Back to Kunming in the evening.
Dinner will be served as Yunnan Specialties followed by an exciting Minority
Cultural show.
- Day 8 Kunming to Lijiang (B/L/DS):
Journey to the Tiger Leaping Gorge this morning. The Gorge is believed to
be the deepest gorge in the world, descending over 200 steps to get the best
possible view. From the top of the gorge you look down the steeply angled
(70-90 degrees) mountain sides to the rushing Golden Sands River with its 18
frothing rapids more than 700 feet below. A special local cuisine dinner will
be served tonight.
- Day 9 Lijiang (B/L/D):
This day begins from stop at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the mythical
mountain worshipped by the Naxi people. Snow covers the peak year round,
standing at 18,26ft, Jade Dragon has never been conquered by human being. In
the afternoon, return to the old town of Lijiang, take a tour to visit the
Baisha Mural and the Yufeng Temple. Enjoy the Naxi Concert at dinner time.
- Day 10 Lijiang to Dali (B/L/D):
A scenic drive takes you to Dali, the capital of ancient Nanshao and Dali
kingdom as well as the home of the Bai Nationality. Visit Three pagodas,
occupying a scenic location at the foot of Mt. Cangshan facing Erhai Lake, has
a history of over 1,800 years. It is a symbol of the history of Dali City, and
a record of the development of Buddhism in the area. Next take an excursion to
the Butterfly Mountain followed by a cruise of Erhai Lake. Get first hand
experience of local daily life by visiting a Bai Minority Village, tasting
famous "Three Courses Tea".
- Day 11 Dali (B/L/DS):
Continual visit this perfect place, Erhai Lake is the largest highland
lake next to Dianchi and one of the seven biggest fresh water lakes in China.
It means, "sea shaped like an ear", in Chinese. The lake covers an area of 250
square kilometers and is located about two kilometers east of Dali.
Here you’ll find unrestricted rest and relaxation, plenty of budget hostels,
inexpensive western food, and friendly local people. Dinner served with local
cuisine and Three Courses Tea.
- Day 12 Dali to Kunming to Beijing (B/DS):
Flight back to Kunming, take connecting flight bound for Beijing. Rest of
day free for your leisure.
This evening, you are invited to a delightful dinner party featuring Beijing
Duck, following by attending an amazing performance of Chinese Acrobatics
show.
- Day 13 Beijing (B):
A full day of leisure in Beijing for shopping and sightseeing.
- Day 14 Beijing to USA (B):
After breakfast transfer to airport for our homebound flight as our
unforgettable trip ends
