Day 1 : Boston - New York City Tour

We depart early in the morning and arrive at noon at our destination: the famous "Big Apple" - New York City. Our tour bus will bring you to visit the Empire State Building,* the tallest building in Manhattan, an iconic landmark from which you can gaze across the panorama of the United States’ largest city. Next we will board a New York Harbor Cruise,* from which we will view the Statue of Liberty, the symbol of freedom which greeted and awakened hope in thousands of immigrants upon their arrival in New York in the late 19th and 20th centuries. From there, our tour will include sights such as Fifth Avenue, one of the greatest shopping thoroughfares in the world, the United Nations Headquarters, and Times Square, the famous neon-lit commercial intersection. We will explore Madame Tussauds Wax Museum,* home to many meticulously crafted wax models of celebrities and historical figures, and experience the many interactive exhibits aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid, the famous World War II aircraft carrier, at the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum.* If time permits, we will close the trip by touring the art deco masterpieces of Rockefeller Center, brain child of visionary philanthropist John D. Rockefeller.

Day 2 : New York - Washington D.C

This morning we will depart for Washington D.C., stopping along the way in Philadelphia to walk along the historical cobblestone streets in Independence Mall State Park and view the now silent Liberty Bell in its newly renovated home at the Liberty Bell Center. From there we will move on to the centuries-old Independence Hall and Congress Hall, the foundation for modern democracy and birthplace of the U.S. Declarationof Independence and Constitution. After this, we will travel to Washington D.C., capital of the United States and seat of its national government, arriving around 4:00pm. We will first visit the Capitol Building, the meeting place of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, and then move on to the White House, residence of the President of the United States. We’ll go just a short distance down the Mall to the National Air and Space Museum, where we’ll explore exhibits featuring the original 1903 flyer plane designed by the Wright brothers, The Spirit of St. Louis flown by Lindbergh, and the Apollo 11 Command Module. From there, we will make our way to the stately architecture of the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials to honor these noble, historic presidents, and then pay tribute to our modern heroes in the armed forces with a stop at the Vietnam and Korean War Memorials. To conclude our evening, we’ll relax aboard a Potomac River Cruise,* which will give us an unforgettable view of the great city from the water.

Day 3 : D.C. - Corning Glass Center - Niagara Falls

From Washington D.C., we head to the Corning Museum of Glass,* which features over 45,000 objects from every era of glassmaking from antiquity through the present day and from every country where the art has been practiced. Witness first-hand the challenging art of glassmaking as craftsmen and artisans create delicate, decorative glass pieces from molten glass. And make sure to stop by the gift shop before you leave to purchase a unique glass souvenir of this fantastic trip. Afterwards, we will continue our tour to Niagara Falls, arriving around 7:30pm. Don’t pass up the opportunity to view the spectacular Falls at night! They are lit with floodlights so that the majestic cascade of water illuminates the night with color.

Day 4 : Niagara Falls - Boston

This morning, we will embark on the "Maid of the Mist" boat cruise,* which will take us into the rapids at the very base of the Falls, allowing a breathtaking close-up view of this natural wonder and the clouds of mist created by the water’s powerful impact on the basin below. (Note: The “Maid of the Mist” is only available April – Oct.) We will also visit the Niagara Falls IMAX Theater* to hear incredible stories about the history of Niagara Falls and the daredevils who have braved its waters. We will then return to Boston, arriving around 8:00pm.
