Day 1 : Boston - Washington DC |
We depart from Boston at 7:00 am, en route to Washington DC. In the capital, our tour will include sights such as the U.S. Capitol Building, where the United States Congress meets to enact legislation; the White House, principal home and workplace of every U.S. President since John Adams; the Lincoln Memorial, with its larger-than-life stone recreation of Abraham Lincoln himself; and finally the somber and patriotic Korean War and Vietnam Veterans memorials. After dinner, the bus will take us to our nearby hotel for the night. |
Day 2 : Washington DC city tour - Baltimore - Philadelphia |
After breakfast, we’ll tour the capital by boat on the Potomac River Cruise*, where you will be able to view the Pentagon and the other memorials from a relaxing vantage point on the water. Later, we’ll visit the Jefferson Memorial, iconic with its circle of pillars and lifelike sculpture of Thomas Jefferson, the author of the Declaration of Independence. We cap off our visit to Washington at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum*, but the tour will continue to Baltimore, stopping at the scenic Inner Harbor for a break to take photos, and then on to Philadelphia, where our tour will take us to Independence Hall, birthplace of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, as well as to the iconic Liberty Bell. After dinner, we head north to our hotel stay in New Jersey. |
Day 3 : New York - Boston: |
Our final day kicks off in New York City, otherwise known as the Big Apple. We will start with a panoramic view of Manhattan Island from the observation platform of the Empire State Building*, before we head down to street-level for closer inspection. Our tour will proceed to Rockefeller Center, home of NBC Studios and the famous statue of golden Prometheus, and then to the United Nations Headquarters, as well as the bustling commercial mecca of Times Square. In the afternoon, we’ll take the Statue of Liberty Cruise*, which will give you breathtaking water views of Manhattan’s famous skyline and the Statue of Liberty, the must-see moment in New York, and pay a visit to the USS Intrepid Air and Sea Museum*. We’ll then take a moment to browse the curiously lifelike models on display at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum*, where you can greet celebrities and historical figures face-to-face. We make our return journey back to Boston, arriving at approximately 9:00 pm. |
