Day 1 :

We depart from Boston at 7:00 am, arriving in New York City around noon. Our tour of the Big Apple begins with the Statue of Liberty Boat Cruise*, which will take you on the Hudson, around Manhattan Island, straight up to the feet of the colossal Statue. Afterwards, we’ll head into the concrete jungle of Manhattan, to the canopy at the top of the Empire State Building*, on the observation deck, where you will have one of the best views of the city. Our tour will proceed to Rockefeller Center, home of NBC Studios and the famous statue of golden Prometheus, to the United Nations Headquarters, the seat of global diplomacy, as well as to the bustling commercial meccas of Times Square and Fifth Avenue. Finally, we’ll take a moment to visit the celebrities and historical icons that are immortalized at Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum*. They are such eerily lifelike, perfectly-sized recreations, that you may believe you are meeting Elvis himself! Be sure to take many photos and show your friends all of the personalities that you’ll meet. We will stop at the Intrepid Sea Air and Space Museum*, aboard a collection of museum ships, where you will see a real-life de-commissioned World War II aircraft carrier, the USS Intrepid, a military submarine, the USS Growler, and military aircraft, including a Concorde SST and a Lockheed A-12 supersonic reconnaissance plane.
