Company History

GotoBus.com was officially launched in spring of 2002, to replace IvyMedia.com. The main focus was to market and offer online bus ticketing services for bus companies running inter-city bus services.

Historically, bus travelers had to check schedules and book tickets from each individual carrier (if they even had a website). GotoBus.com focused all its technology efforts on a previously untouched niche in the online ticketing services for bus companies. We offered customers the possibility to search in one place multiple schedules from multiple carriers so they can easily compare and decide what works best for them.
